The City Wire, Talk Business Arkansas Expand Coverage Of Wal-Mart Suppliers

The City Wire and Talk Business Arkansas are pleased to announce an expansion of their content partnership.

For years, the two media groups have combined forces to offer exclusive and original local, regional and statewide news coverage in the business and political arenas.

In 2013, The City Wire and Talk Business Arkansas will combine their sales and content distribution efforts for a special continuing series focused on Wal-Mart suppliers.

The series, “The Supply Side,” focuses on the nearly 1,300 suppliers who have set up offices within a 27-mile radius of Wal-Mart’s home office in Bentonville. The supplier community provides roughly 5,800 high-income jobs and is an important contributor to the economic, political and cultural landscape of the region.

“The Supply Side” reports on issues, events and people within the circle of companies connected to Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

“The unique and indepth coverage of the socio-economic world that surrounds Wal-Mart  will be a great fit to our broad statewide business and political coverage in the magazine,” said Roby Brock, editor-in-chief of Talk Business Arkansas.

The City Wire and Talk Business will not only provide these reports through their online channels, but will also provide a special section in each of the six issues of Talk Business Arkansas magazines in 2013. Each magazine issue is distributed to more than 12,000 business leaders throughout the state.

Also, The City Wire will work with Roby Brock, editor-in-chief of Talk Business Arkansas, to produce stories about companies, individuals and other topics out of the Fort Smith and Northwest Arkansas areas.

“We’ve been pleasantly surprised by the reaction from the business community to our Supply Side stories. It will be nice to have the chance to repackage this information for a wider audience,” said Patricia Brown, chief operations officer for The City Wire.
