Invasion of cyclists

FAYETTEVILLE — Living in a nationally-recognized Bicycle-Friendly Community, Fayetteville residents are used to seeing cyclists on their roads. However, this weekend, the number of bikes will spike.
Several hundred riders traveling at high speeds will take part in the 35th annual Joe Martin Stage Race all over town Thursday through Sunday (April 26-29). So the smart motorist would keep an eye open for what may be flying by in front of him.
Traffic will be closde on the following streets at the listed dates and times:
- West Avenue and Dickson Street, 3:30 -7 p.m. Friday
- Razorback Road from 15th Street to Interstate 540 Razorback Road, noon to 7 p.m. Saturday
- Parts of Church, Mountain, Block, Center, Spring and Dickson streets, as well as a part of West Avenue from 6 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
