The Young Republicans of Arkansas are hosting a debate Saturday in Hot Springs for the Republican primary race in the Fourth Congressional District.  This week our Talk Business/Hendrix College poll showed the race tied between Tom Cotton and Beth Anne Rankin at 38.5% with John Cowart a distant third with 4%.

“Due to the Fourth District’s new composition and the open seat caused by Rep. Mike Ross’ retirement, this Congressional race has been hyped as one to watch in 2012. Clearly, it is living up to its hype,” said Roby Brock, executive editor of Talk Business & Politics.

The candidates have met several times during the primary season across the district, but this is their final scheduled meeting before the May 22 primary, which is only a month away.  The event is at the Hot Springs Convention Center at 1:00 pm.

They have asked me to be on the panel along with Alice Stewart, so if anyone has any questions they would like asked during the debate, send them my way.  The format will have time for questions from the panel as well as from the candidates to each other, so it could be a lively debate.
