Walmart stores in Branson and Lebanon, Mo. sustained damage from severe storms that swept through the region early Wednesday (Feb. 29).

The Walmart Super Center located at 2050 W 76 Blvd. in Branson suffered considerable roof damage and remains closed while cleanup continues, said Dianna Gee, Walmart spokeswoman.

She said the store in Lebanon has reopened as damages there were not as pronounced as in Branson.

A third store in Harrisburg, Ill., sustained significant water and roof damage and also remains closed.

"We realize the communities need us to be there and we want to help by donating essential emergency merchandise while trying to get our stores back up and running as soon as possible. We are working to transfer prescriptions from the damaged stores to the stores closest in proximity. In the case of Harrisburg, the closest store is about 20 miles away in Marion," Gee said.

Though no serious injuries were reported, Gee said cleanup is extensive in some areas.
