Arkansas Children’s Hospital has promoted Pam Trevino to the position of clinical risk management director. Trevino previously served as a registered nurse on the Resource Team at the hospital. This newly created position will focus on patient care specific risk.

In her role, Trevino will identify, implement and monitor risk reduction and patient safety strategies. She will work closely with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and other clinical disciplines to improve the care at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. She will be involved in fact-finding and process improvements when safety events occur, and will help monitor and maintain Safety Tracker, the new event reporting system.

“ACH is fortunate to have a person with Pam’s skills and knowledge to fill the role of the director of Clinical Risk Management department,” said Debby Keene, Vice President of Safety Improvement. “We are grateful to have found someone with her depth of clinical understanding combined with her years of pediatric nursing experience to lead this program.”

Trevino is a graduate of Valparaiso University and is currently in the BSN to PhD program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).
