Clean & Green: Muscadine And Scuppernong

Not far from downtown Little Rock, you can often find Dennis Kolb tending to his vineyards of muscadine and scuppernong grape-like fruit berries. He uses the fruit to make homemade jams and jellies.

He and his wife, Linda, run the business called Bear Kingdom Vineyard. Some of the vines are more than 40 years old, having been transplanted when the Kolbs started their vineyard here 26 years ago.

It was just a hobby, but after a decade their products were so sought after they turned it into a business. Now, they have 21 labels of jams and jellies in an assortment of sizes.

Learn more in the video below about this small business enterprise that is doing things the old-fashioned way with an emphasis on keeping it local.
