Clean & Green: Homebuilders See Growth Through Environmental Edge

For nearly 60 years, the Home Builders Association of Greater Little Rock has sponsored an annual home show. In the last three years, a rocky economy has brought its fair share of challenges to the industry.

In 2010, however, something significant took place. Membership in the association actually grew. And not just by a little.

Joe Burak, executive director of the Little Rock HBA, said that energy efficiency, green building and remodeling and a keener environmental awareness brought 70 new members into its ranks.
