Hot Springs and Garland County are serious about their beautification efforts and they’re willing to get after a few butts to make it happen – cigarette butts, that is.
A new SUV is wrapped in messages aimed at preventing cigarette litter, the number one source of litter in the state, according to litter experts. Cigarette butts can hang around for up to 50 years before they decompose.
The buttmobile SUV will travel to nearly any event with enough advance notice. Its mission is to deliver free prevention tools like pocket and cupholder ash trays. The tour also doesn’t take a stand on smoking, just the effects it has on the environment.
