Lincoln Says Bruising Primary Hurt Chances For Re-election

Kelly MacNeil with our content partner, KUAR-FM 89 News interviews Sen. Blanche Lincoln, who blames her bruising primary battle for her standing in the polls.

Lincoln said her re-election campaign would look dramatically different if Lt. Gov. Bill Halter had not challenged her.

"When somebody spends $21 million of negative advertising against you, you’ve got to spend an awful lot of time and energy winning back people’s approval and people’s trust," Lincoln tells KUAR. "And that’s exactly what I’ve done."
