Cong. Mike Ross is promising a "big announcement" during his telephone town hall this evening.
Talk Business has learned that Ross will host 35 in-person town halls in his district during the months of August and September. The 35 meetings will cover all 29 counties across the Fourth Congressional District, which means some will have more than one live town hall.
So far this year, Ross has hosted 34 town hall meetings and 12 telephone town halls. By September, Ross says he will have hosted more than 80 town hall events in 2010 alone.
It goes back to a description many of us in the political pundit world have echoed about Ross for months. He is hard-working and in-touch with his constituents regularly. It is part of what insulates him from the anti-incumbent anger that has branded other Arkansas politicians in the last year.
Ross, a Democrat, is being challenged by Republican Beth Anne Rankin and Green Party nominee Joshua Drake this November. Ross is hosting a telephone town hall this evening, part of a series he’s been hosting for weeks.
If you want to participate in tonight’s tele-town hall, it starts at 7 pm. Phone: 1-877-229-8493, PIN: 14573.
