John Brummett with Stephens Media’s Arkansas News Bureau is interviewed by the Columbia Journalism Review about Arkansas’ U.S. Senate primaries and the overall political climate in state.
It’s a quick read and a good overall synopsis of what we’ve all been seeing, hearing and reading play out in our different media.
In short, Brummett says that the campaigns are playing rough (especially the Democrats), the chances of a run-off are likely in both primaries, and he discusses the potential run-off dynamics due to Arkansas’ election laws.
Brummett also wrote a great piece in our latest edition of Talk Business Quarterly, which I highly recommend you read. It is his analysis of many of the political undercurrents that are at work in the Arkansas electorate this year.
