Winners were named today for the Donald W. Reynolds Governor’s Cup awards, a statewide business plan competition that fosters entrepreneurship at the undergraduate and graduate college level.

This year was the 10th year for the popular competition.

There were 50 entries representing 14 universities from across the state that entered plans in this year’s Reynolds Cup, which is sponsored by the Arkansas Economic Acceleration Foundation (AEAF), an affiliate of the Arkansas Capital Corporation Group.

First- and second-place winners in both the graduate and undergraduate track will compete in a Tri-State Competition in Las Vegas in May.
 
“This competition means a lot to us because we get to see our students really flesh out their entrepreneurial ideas and give them life,” said Sam Walls, Arkansas Capital Corporation Group CEO. “The results are creative and innovative, highlighting what this generation of business leaders has to offer.”
 
The business plans entered in the competition can represent seed, start-up or early-stage venture projects.  The following winners were named today:

Undergraduate
First Place: Arkansas Auto-Fluff, University of Arkansas
Second Place: Interactive Convenience Electronics, LLC, University of Arkansas
Third Place: Fore Your Swing, John Brown University
 
Graduate
First Place: InnerVision, LLC, University of Arkansas
Second Place: Biologics MD, University of Arkansas
Third Place: Green Valley Solar, LLC, University of Arkansas
 
First place winners earned $20,000; second place winners earned $10,000; and third place winners earned $5,000.
