Stephens Media columnist Jason Tolbert discusses his favorite Democrats in his Sunday column for the newspaper chain.
Tolbert, whose writings champion the conservative cause, says that Arkansas has a thing for politicians named Mike. He personally likes the governing style of Gov. Mike Beebe and the legislative style of Cong. Mike Ross.
But as likable as the Mikes are, I think the prize has to go to political newcomer and self-proclaimed conservative Democrat D.C. Morrison, who is running a David vs. Goliaths campaign against Sen. Blanche Lincoln and Lt. Gov. Bill Halter for the U.S. Senate.
Morrison brings a whole new meaning to the term “conservative Democrat.”
Tolbert mentions the fact that Morrison could be a spoiler in the Senate race, forcing a run-off between Lincoln and Halter if he pulls enough votes. You can read Tolbert’s column here.
